Crisp flavourful Pilsner, nice strong earthy bitterness, fresh floral and citrus punch from the dry hop.
The Italian Pilsner was made famous by Birrifico Italiano, who in 1996, brewed a unfiltered pilsner and added hops into the fermenter. Although these days the act of dry hopping is very common, back then to do it on a Pilsner was seen as controversial, but people loved the results. So the term Italian Pilsner or Tipo Pilsner (meaning kind of pils) was born. Bich’s take on this style is true to tradition using Eraclea Pilsner malt that is grown on the Adriatic coast of Italy and traditional old world hops including Sazz and Tettnanger both in the boil and as a dry hop addition. The Result is an clear and clean pilsner, with an assertive bitterness and wonderful floral and citrus character making this beer the perfect pairing for a meal.
